Thoughts
This single malt scotch from Pencaitland has a slight charred woody character, smooth in mid-taste, and a semi-rough finish. It's proof is 43%, and deserves a bit of water. In fact, with a small splash of the water this whiskey takes on a slightly creamy complexion on the tip of your tongue.
Peatiness: 1/5
Woodiness: 4/5
Sweetness: 2/5
Smoothness: 3/5
Complexity: 2/5
Overall: A fine whiskey for an afternoon topmeup.
